The fifty- piece Kimono Collection is personal and therefore provenance, history and estimated value were not the focus since resale was never the objective. The purpose was to collect Japanese hand-sewn textiles to enjoy their beauty with the knowledge that these items would eventually be unavailable at any price.

This collection is the result of ten years of selecting pieces with the most impressive colors, designs, and hand embroidery. The following motifs are found throughout the collection in variations too numerous to distinguish, and in colors ranging from subtle to brilliant. The embroidery alone contains every hue and has been embroidered in the Japanese tradition of an attitude of peace, calm and harmony. Read More »
